This pattern contains instructions to make a beaded bauble ornament cover. This is a decorative item that goes over a Christmas tree bauble. It is not attached to the bauble in any way, it is just placed over the neck of the bauble and it stays securely in place once in use. It can be easily removed at any time but cannot just fall off.
This beadwork fits a 6cm bauble. It has three star-shaped motifs framed by bands of pearls and has a deep fringe around the bottom.
Beading level: suitable for everyone. It may seem complicated at first glance but it is explained in great detail with lots of diagrams and written instructions and is very easy to follow. All my patterns are written in English and use UK terms.

You will need 248 size 4mm round beads, 99 size 4mm crystal bicones, three 6mm crystal rondelles, 27 bugle beads between 6mm and 10mm long, 27 bugles beads 22mm long or a similar size, size 11 seed beads, a beading needle and thread, and a glass or shatterproof round Christmas tree bauble ornament that is 6cm wide. You can use either one or two beads at the bottom of each fringe drop instead of three if you prefer, to reduce the total number of round beads used to 194 or 221. The photos will give you lots of ideas for colour variations and then I'm sure you'll be able to come up with more of your own.
