This tutorial contains instructions for a beaded bauble ornament cover. This is a decorative item that goes over a Christmas tree bauble. It is not attached to the bauble in any way, it is just placed over the neck of the bauble and it stays securely in place once in use. It can be easily removed at any time but cannot just fall off.
This beadwork fits a 7cm bauble.
Beading level: suitable for everyone. It is explained in great detail and is very easy to follow.
57 jam-packed pages including 11 pages of helpful information about basic beading. 43 clear computer-drawn diagrams. Written instructions with 227 individual steps. 15 photos of finished work.
You will need size 11 seed beads, 6mm bugle beads, 270 size 4mm round beads or size 6 seed beads, a beading needle and thread, and a glass or shatterproof round Christmas tree bauble ornament that is 7cm wide. To cut down on the amount of 4mm beads used you can put just one bead at the bottom of each fringe drop instead of two if you prefer, so that you will only need 180 beads in total instead of 270. The photos will give you lots of ideas for colour variations and then I'm sure you'll be able to come up with more of your own.
